about

fever-pitch is an independent, unincorporated entity that is unaffiliated with any other organisation. based in hamilton, new zealand, we believe in the power of art at the community level to inspire, empathise, and entertain.

the fund operates as a non-profit, informed by the founders’ marxist and anarcho-communist beliefs. we believe that money is the tool by which the working class individuals are subjugated and prevented from achieving their full potential, including artistically. it is our hope that, through our actions, we present an ethical argument for a new economic system with the power to unbridle the people and bring about an artistic renaissance.

we operate based on the following four principles:

1. let artists art

stay out of the creative process unless asked for input.

2. be human

embrace mistakes and risks, remember that everyone else is human too.

3. empowerment, not profit

art gives meaning to the human experience. make decisions based on sustainable impact.

4. always in progress

don’t stop learning and developing. be ready to pivot.
